Easter Bunny Consults with National Color Expert

KANSAS CITY, KAN. – Bored with distributing traditional pastel-colored eggs, the Easter Bunny has asked national color expert Kate Smith for assistance with decorating tips.

“Every year I hide the same pastel-colored eggs for children and this year I’d like to jazz it up a bit,” says the Easter Bunny. “While I was out placing Easter eggs and goodies in yards last year I was impressed by the abundance of colors on homes these days. At one point I looked up at a roof and saw this delightful blend of colored tiles. I really want to capture some of those exciting colors on my eggs!”

After searching for the color leader in synthetic roofing tiles, the Easter Bunny hopped over to Kate Smith, chief color maven and color expert for DaVinci Roofscapes. “This was a bit of an unusual consultation, but I’m open to any-bunny who loves color,” says Smith, president of Sensational Color. “Turns out the Easter Bunny had seen the Vineyard blend of eight colors on a DaVinci slate roof in Maine. I can understand his positive reaction — that blend includes colors of dark and medium tan, light and medium gray, dark stone, light and dark violet, and dark amber.”

During the consultation, Smith encouraged the Easter Bunny to try creating his own dream roof color — which can also be used to decorate eggs — on DaVinci’s “Color from the Top Down” online sweepstakes.

“This was so easy,” says Smith. “We hippity-hopped over to my computer and ‘liked’ DaVinci on Facebook. Then we had fun looking through the 49 standard colors available and created a stunning color combination that he named ‘Scrambled Eggs’ and submitted it online. Now he’s camped out on my computer playing with DaVinci’s Color Design Studio and designing a host of new color combinations that he swears will look great on his eggs this year.”

According to the Easter Bunny, 2012 Easter eggs will be more colorful thanks to his meeting with Smith. “Why should roofs have all the fun?” says the Easter Bunny. “Children’s baskets will be overflowing this year with colorful blends of decorated eggs in terracotta, autumn, purple and green. I’m so excited about these sensational colors that I may never go back to pale pastels again!”
