KANSAS CITY, KAN. – After passing a multitude of testing conducted by PRI Construction Materials Technologies, LLC, Fancy Shake synthetic roofing tiles by DaVinci Roofscapes® have achieved Miami Dade County Acceptance. Testing results show that the synthetic cedar shake roofing tiles can withstand high velocity hurricane winds, accelerated weathering and fire resistance as dictated by the stringent Miami Dade County codes.
“To gain Miami Dade County approval, a product must pass high wind testing, tensile testing before and after accelerated weathering and small scale fire testing,” says Brad Grzybowski, director of PRI Construction Materials Technologies, LLC. “The Fancy Shake roofing tiles passed all of these tests with flying colors and can now be considered approved for use in all areas requiring the stringent Miami Dade County approvals.”

The 18-inch long tiles have achieved the highest ratings for straight-line wind testing at 110 mph and Class 4 impact testing ratings. Fancy Shake roofing tiles have been approved by the Florida Building Code which is a prerequisite for Miami Dade acceptance.
