In the summertime it feels a bit odd to think about snow and ice, but at DaVinci Roofscapes it is a year round conversation. The Teflon-like quality to our products offers so many amazing benefits, such as it resists mold and algae growth and is easy to clean without solutions (if necessary), but snow retention? Not so good at that. So, if you live in a climate where you are likely to get snow, it is strongly recommended that when you install your new, synthetic roofing material you also install snow guards. Installing snow guards will help prevent snow from sliding off your roof and damaging landscaping, gutters, and vehicles.
This project, installed by NMC Exteriors out of Plymouth, MN, used snow guards on this home that now has a Multi-Width Shake tile roof in Weathered Gray.
