Featured Project – Mount Saint Mary College

When a prominent campus building at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York needed a new roof, the college began looking at slate roof alternatives to replace the old, red asbestos shingles that had faded to pink with grey streaks.  The college wanted the look of natural slate for this Victorian style structure, however did not want to deal with the maintenance that came along with a slate tile roof. The imitation slate shingles chosen were DaVinci Slate in the Vineyard Blend.  Before the luxury roof could be installed and restore this historic building to its original beauty, the material had to be presented to the City of Newburg Architectural Review Committee for approval.  After approval was granted, high-end contractor and commercial roofing specialists Neth and Son Inc of Depew, New York completed the job.
