From the Architect’s Corner – NJ Before and After
With before and after photos there isn’t really much for me to say in a blog other than “check these out!”. This building, located in Weehawkin, New Jersey (Featured Project to come!), got a makeover with a new single-widthSlate roof earlier this fall. single-widthSlate is a single-width polymer slate tile system, and in Slate Black is perfect for the traditional look of the Northeast.
Color Expert, Kate Smith, shared her thoughts on going with a Slate Black roof in a previous blog by saying, “Black roofs provide an anchor for tall homes by helping visually lower the roof and make the home look wider in contrast to the siding color and trim. Use a black plastic slate or shake roof with homes painted in gray, blue, green or white … or a brick home.”
Happy Friday, Architects!
