KANSAS CITY, KAN. – DaVinci Roofscapes®, the leader in synthetic roofing tiles, has introduced two new value priced roofing tile solutions. Valoré Shake, a nine-inch wide roofing tile with the appearance of hand-split cedar shake, and Valoré Slate, a 12-inch wide roofing tile resembling natural slate, are now available throughout the United States. “Valoré is ‘value’ in Italian,” says Ray Rosewall, president and chief executive officer of DaVinci Roofscapes. “We selected the name because the Valoré tiles deliver the value consumers are looking for today along with the same quality, durability and appearance that all DaVinci products are known for.”
The varied texture and profile of the single color Valoré Shake tiles create subtle shifts in hue and color which mimics the natural appearance of wood shakes. Standard colors include Autumn, Mountain, Tahoe and Weathered Gray as well as DaVinci EcoBlend(TM) colors that meet LEED-NC and initial ENERGY STAR® requirements. “We found that today’s homeowners are eager to recreate the look of real cedar shake shingles without the hassles of worrying about real wood, at a more affordable price point,” says Rosewall. “The consistent tile size of Valoré Shake provides homeowners with the clean, authentic look of wood shake roofing with all the benefits that come with a synthetic product.” All Valoré Shake tiles are 22-inches long with the color and state-of-the-art UV stabilizers embedded throughout each tile.
“The new Valoré Slate tiles have the same value-added benefits,” says Rosewall. “Rather than paying for real slate, which is heavier and has a tendency toward cracking, the Valoré Slate product is a terrific option for homeowners. For ease-of-mind, homeowners will especially appreciate that all these roofing tiles are impact-resistant and have a Class A fire test rating.”
Valoré Slate is available in five single colors, including Light Gray, Medium Gray, Dark Gray, Slate Gray and Slate Black. All tiles are 18-inches long.
The virtually maintenance-free Valoré Shake and Valoré Slate tiles are fire retardant and have a Class A fire rating. The durable tiles have achieved the highest ratings for straight-line wind testing at 110 mph and Class 4 impact testing ratings. As with all DaVinci products, the Valoré Shake and Valoré Slate tiles resist curling, cracking and fading, mold, algae, fungus and insects under normal conditions and are backed by a comprehensive 50-year warranty. Additionally, DaVinci roofing tiles resist water absorption, which eliminates freeze-thaw issues and allows for installation in all weather conditions.
DaVinci Roofscapes has manufactured award-winning synthetic slate and shake roofing since 1999. The polymer roofing tiles are virtually maintenance free and far more cost effective than the natural product. DaVinci leads the industry in tile thickness, the tile width variety and the greatest selection of subtle earth-toned colors. Company products have a 50-year warranty and are 100 percent recyclable. DaVinci proudly makes its products in America and is a member of the National Association of Home Builders, the Cool Roof Rating Council and the U.S. Green Building Council.
