From the Architect’s Corner – Harvesting Rainwater
Design Opportunity – This question doesn’t come up often, but from time to time I am asked if our eco friendly roof tiles can be used when the homeowner will be collecting rainwater. I was asked this for the first time a few years ago while working with a client on a project in the US Virgin Islands. It would be a complete deal breaker if the rain water collected off the roof could not be used for irrigation, laundry, bathing and drinking.
