New Beaver Tail Product
DaVinci Roofscapes has just completed testing on our newest simulated shake roofing product. The new product is called Beaver Tail. It can be used as an accent tile with our Fancy Shake, used in conjunction with “Diamond Point”, or it can stand on its own. Beaver Tail has attained a Class A fire rating, Class 4 impact rating, and is rated for HVHZ (High Velocity Hurricane Zone) application. Florida Building Code approval is pending.
All DaVinci products go through rigorous testing at accredited testing labs. One of the tests we have performed on all products is TAS 100 which is a wind driven rain test. In this test a high volume of wind and simulated rain is blown at an extreme angle on an installation of tiles to prove they can stand up to extreme storm conditions.
Pictured below is a test conducted by PRI Construction Materials Technologies. At the final stage of this test there is a huge fan that blows at 110 MPH along with a spray of water that simulates rain at 8.8 inches per hour. As is evident in this photo, at 110 MPH, all tiles are securely in place and there is no water penetration.
