Weathering the Storm: No Where to Hide

From coast to coast, it's messy out there.

Spring storms have brought high winds, intense rain and hail to many parts of the country this year. While farm fields and gardens have taken a beating, so have houses.

The roof on a home is the single most exposed element of a house. There is simply no where for a roof to hide when the weather turns bad. That's why it's important to invest in an impact-resistant roof. Just ask roofer Jim Hofegartner what he witnessed after a storm in 2010.

"There were grapefruit-sized hail and 60 mph winds that pounded our area," says Hofegartner with Central Roofing and Construction Company. "A DaVinci Aberdeen simulated slate roof we installed a few weeks beforehand in Nichols Hills received minimal damage — especially compared to the concrete tile roof next door that was totally destroyed."

Storm intensity has only increased in recent years. According to roofer Mike Heiland, peace-of-mind for homeowners only comes when investing in a secure roof. After a severe microburst in 2015, his Kansas customers were shaken, but their homes survived.

The third home needed approximately 10-feet of ridge replaced. That's absolutely nothing compared to the devastation that all the other homes in that neighborhood experienced.

"Now my customers are elated with their decision to invest in DaVinci composite roofing … and their neighbors are fighting with insurance adjusters. Many of them see that the DaVinci products held up exceptionally well … and we're already getting calls from them about replacing their roofs with a worry-free DaVinci roof!"
