Everything’s Bigger in Texas
Of the 48 contiguous states in the country, Texas is the biggest. It makes sense that the state would have big, sprawling estates. Therefore, when big hail comes down, unfortunately it does major damage to those properties.
In 2019, homeowner Michael Postar found out about the damages big hail storms can cause. That’s when a hail storm destroyed the roof on his 24,000-square-foot home.
Looking for an Impact-Resistant Roof
Part of the sad news related to this hail damage story is that Postar’s property was just five years old when the storm hit. Original roofing that should have stood up to Mother Nature simply failed.
After the storm, Postar started looking at his options. He contacted Precision Construction and Roofing in North Richland Hills, Texas.
“The folks at Precision first told me about the impact resistancy of DaVinci roofing,” says Postar. “I liked everything I saw about the composite slate roofing. Both the pricing and the appearance of the DaVinci roof fit our budget. We love the way it enhances the overall look of our house.”
Class 4 Impact Rating
For the re-roofing project, the Postars had DaVinci Single-Width Slate installed on their massive property. A field of Slate Black tiles is accented with Slate Gray tiles throughout the roof.
Because they are Class 4 impact rated, the Postars can rest easy during future hail storms. Even if winds blow up to 110mph, and hail comes down the size of baseballs, the DaVinci roof can handle it. In addition, the new roof is backed by a Lifetime Limited Materials Warranty, providing long-term peace-of-mind to the homeowners.
With the re-roofing project now complete, there’s a clean, classic look to the finished home.
“The appeal of the house is exactly what I was going for with this project,” says Postar. “Precision Roofing did an amazing job. I highly recommend the DaVinci products and the excellent installation work done by Precision Roofing.”
