First-Time Bellaforté Installer Sings Praises of Composite Roofing
Jesse Madrid is a happy man … and a happy roofer. His recent roofing project, of a two-story apartment building in Midland, Texas, gave him the opportunity to work with composite roofing from DaVinci Roofscapes for the first time.
“I’ve seen the Bellaforté product before and was extremely pleased when the apartment owner selected it for this re-roofing project,” says Madrid, owner of Midway Roofing out of Odessa, Texas. “This type of composite roofing product that resists fire and impact is a true benefit for a homeowner or project owner.”
Madrid, who’s worked in the roofing industry for 30 years, appreciated the support he received from DaVinci on this project. “Katie Thoele in Customer Service was really great,” says Madrid. “She answered tons of questions for me and sent me product samples of the Bellaforté Shake in the Tahoe color. We worked this project as a team.”
Composite Shake Resists Fire and Impact
What Madrid discovered along the way with the roofing project is that he likes the realistic shake look of Bellaforté products — plus the size of the tiles.
“These composite roofing tiles have a heavy, natural cedar shake look to them, but they’re rather lightweight and easy to install,” says Madrid. “They really changed the entire look of this 100-year old structure.”
The Villas on Wall Street previously had 3-tab asphalt shingles overhead. “Those shingles were old,” says Madrid. “An investor owns that apartment building now and he wanted a roof with more character overhead.
“Most importantly, he wanted a roof that would resist hail, impact and fire. That led me to DaVinci. I’m a first-time user of the product, but it won’t be the last time. I’m hoping to use this composite roofing product a great deal in our area in the future!”
