It’s an English cottage. It’s a sprawling southern homestead. It’s both. Located in Birmingham, Ala., the expansive stone exterior house features multiple entrances, English-style gardens and several attached garages. A Bellaforté Slate roof in Smokey Gray sits atop the flowing structure.
Originally a rambling hodgepodge of dated buildings, the redesigned space now boasts lots of connected rooms and an enviable flow. Thanks to the homeowners’ love for English Country houses, architect Jeff Dungan added in age-old characteristics from weathered stone and half-timbered walls to relaxing outdoors spaces.
