It’s Energy Awareness Month! 3 Ways DaVinci Conserves
As a roofing manufacturer, we feel it is our duty to be very conscious of our environment and to make sure we are doing everything we can to reduce our carbon footprint. Many times our roofing products are replacing 20 year-old roofs (or older), and more often than not the old roof is going into the dumpster rather than being recycled.
There are three ways that we go about reducing our carbon footprint:

- Contribute to the LEED® Certification Process – We contribute to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification Process (LEED-NC Standard 2.2) through sustainable sites, water efficiency and materials and resources.

- Offer Roofing Materials that are Cool Roof Rating Council Rated – We offer DaVinci EcoBlend® tiles that reflect sunlight and heat away from your home.

- Offer a Recycling Program – Our recycling program is two fold. We offer two versions of the program – either recycling of waste from a job site or the recycling of expired tiles after their 50 year life expectancy.
It is important to us that our 50 year roof systems are also green roof systems so that our Earth stays healthier and happier.
