Recently many Home Owners Associations (HOAs), cities and counties have started to require the replacement of wooden roofs with materials that are approved for the area by certain dates or home and business owners alike could face penalties.
One example of this is the deadline is that homeowners in Boulder, Colorado are facing. By January 1, 2014, all Boulder homes are required to replace all types of wooden roofs with materials that carry a high fire rating (meaning they are more resistant to fire). As well, residents living in San Bernadino County California Fire Safety Zones are also faced with a similar deadline (July 1, 2014) to replace all wooden roofs and have been inquiring about replacing their wood roofs with our polymer tiles.
