“Shake it Up” Color Contest Recap
If you’re a fan of our Facebook page you might recall that back in March of this year we ran the “Shake it Up” home exterior color contest.
Together with Fypon, Simonton Windows and Therma-Tru Doors, we sponsored an online contest for homeowners offering a $5,000 cash grand prize to help the winner add color to the exterior his or her home.
In order to enter the contest, homeowners had to submit a photo of their home along with an explanation of why their home could use the $5,000 cash prize.
Submissions were allowed through April 21 and then all submissions were evaluated and narrowed down to the top 5. Once selected, the top five entries were passed along to a professional artist who worked with color expert Kate Smith to create renderings of what those 5 finalist homes would look like if color and colorful products were added to the home’s exterior.
Upon completion of the renderings, the online voting process began and ran for 2 weeks in May to select a winner. Ultimately, the Hodkinsons of Tennessee won the grand prize. Congratulations to the Hodkinsons – we look forward to seeing all they have done with their $5,000 cash prize!
