Composite Shake Tops Historic Buildings
Looking to make a move to Pennsylvania? Then you may want to check out the beautiful luxury homes available from Toll Brothers at Liseter, a master-planned community in Newtown Square.
While the homes are all new, there are two historic stone buildings on the site, which started as “Liseter Farm,” a horse farm created in the 1920s. Nestled in Delaware County, the once-grand estate now happily welcomes new homeowners. As people pass by the older buildings they most likely think the cedar shake roofing overhead is authentic cedar, but they’d be wrong.
“We installed the DaVinci polymer shake tiles in the Spring and Summer of 2014,” says William Reinhardt with A. Brooks Roofing, Inc. “This was our first DaVinci installation. The historic buildings were rebuilt and presented to us as if newly constructed, so we could easily move forward with the roofing installation.
“There’s an amazing natural look to the DaVinci composite shake products that fit in very well with this setting. And, the reduced weight of the product makes it easy to work with. This was a beautiful product to work with and one that really complements the historic nature of these buildings.”
