Featured Project – Aspen, CO

At an 8100 foot elevation the residents of Vail, CO know a thing or two about what the climate can do to the exterior of their homes and businesses. Under a solid blanket of snow in the winter and exposed to some pretty strong UV rays in the summer, choosing a roofing material that can withstand this cycle year after year is crucial.

Contractor Plath Construction of Eagle, Colorado has completed several DaVinci projects over the last several years in Vail (one may call Downtown Vail a “City of DaVinci Roofs“) and more recently replaced the roof on the iconic Clock Tower in Vail Village. “The Clock Tower roof might not have made it through another winter with the existing roof,” says Alberto Ortega, vice president of Plath Construction, Inc. in Eagle, Colo. “We got the new DaVinci Multi-Width Slate roof installed in late November just before the start of snow season. These polymer slate roofing tiles resist extreme weather conditions and are basically maintenance-free, so they should last for decades.”
