Province™ Slate Roof Pops with Special-Ordered Color
Krishna Jain added eye-popping curb appeal to her home with the recent addition of a Province™ Slate roof in Sonora. a DaVinci roof color blend. Ideal to complement her Mediterranean style house, the composite roofing blend includes shades of Medium and Dark Terracotta, mixed in with Dark and Light Clay.
“This DaVinci roof has completely changed the appearance of my home,” says Jain, a resident of St. Paul, Minnesota. “My house has a very unique look. It stands out compared to others on my street. I believe the new Province Slate roof has increased the value of my house.”
Selecting Synthetic Slate
After living with architectural shingles on her home for 20 years, storm damage demanded that Jain purchase a new roof. She consulted with her son, who recently had a DaVinci roof installed on his home. Then she did her own research.
“I want a synthetic slate roof because they look very good and last forever,” says Jain. “I chose DaVinci because the variations of colors in their roofing material surpass other companies. Their tiles look more natural than the other brands on the market.
“I specifically selected the Province Slate product because it’s the newest DaVinci composite roofing tile. I decided the size and quality of the Province Slate looked best with the style of my house. And, I was able to special-order the Sonora color I liked so much, so I know my roof is unique.”
Introduced by DaVinci in 2022, the 12-inch wide Province Slate tile has a fixed 8-inch exposure. The look evokes a historical nature with authentic natural slate appeal. Modeled after actual slate, the tiles have a natural, non-repeating beauty that complements a variety of home styles. The Class A fire-rated and Class 4 impact-rated tile can handle a variety of climate and weather conditions. The durable synthetic slate tiles resist severe weather, high winds, insects, algae and fungus growth.
Saving on Insurance
For Jain, the selection of Province Slate in the bold DaVinci roof color goes deeper than the surface beauty of the synthetic slate tiles. Having lived through storm damage to her past roof, she values the product strength and Lifetime Limited Material Warranty offered by DaVinci.
“The composite roofing material is very hardy and durable,” says Jain. “I know it will withstand future storms, and I won’t have to replace the DaVinci roof for many years.”
Jain isn’t the only believer in the dependability of impact-resistant DaVinci Roofscapes. Her insurance company, American Family, offered her a substantial discount after she invested in the Province Slate roof.
“They’re providing me with more than a 20 percent discount on my homeowners insurance,” says Jain. “They understand that this new synthetic slate roof will not sustain damage during future hail storms. It’s an investment. Although the DaVinci product is more expensive than the standard asphalt shingles I had previously, it’s well worth it. Now I won’t have to worry about storms or replacing the roof when strong weather hits our area.”
Finding the Right Roofer
Along with choosing a new roof and DaVinci roof color, Jain also needed to find a roofing installer. She was impressed with, and ultimately hired, Right Away Construction to handle her large reroofing project.
“This team has experience on the insurance side of things, so that helped with handling my storm damage situation,” says Jain. “They have a reputation for being experts in specialty roof systems such as slate and tile. I appreciate that they were prompt and professional in their communications. In addition, they gave me a reasonable bid for the project.”
Located out of Saint Anthony, Minnesota, Right Away Construction is headed by President Joshua Kujawa. He and his crew tackled the project easily, with no challenges.
“This DaVinci product gives the Jain home a superior look,” says Kujawa. “Compared to the other homes in the area, this roof is a standout showpiece. We’re pleased that we were able to provide our professional roofing services for this homeowner and get her exactly the roof she was looking for to accent her house.”
“This roofing team met and exceeded my expectations,” says Jain. “I would absolutely refer them to others in the area.
“Overall, I took a risk investing in this product and color, since it was so different from my previous roof. However, it’s already paying off. I continually receive compliments on the new look of my home. I’m pleased with how it turned out and with the peace-of-mind the DaVinci roof brings me.”
